When it comes to sales outreach, there is no one magical way to do things. What works for one industry, or offering may not work for another. This is true for the Solar industry as well.
At LeadJoint, we have worked with hundreds of clients from across different countries and industries to help them generate qualified leads for their businesses through email outreach.
Since you are here to check out Solar sales email templates, let me tell you this from experience – there is no perfect template that will work for all prospects. Their industry, designation, culture, English proficiency, and tech-savviness all play a part in deciding the best sales email template.
When we do sales outreach at scale for our clients, we start off with dozens of different sales email templates, and then slowly narrow it down to one or two based on what gets us the best results.
In this blog post, we will go through several different formats of emails that you could experiment with while seeking leads for your Solar business.

Solar Sales Email Follow-Up Templates
Typically, we send between 4-7 follow-up emails to each recipient. While I can’t say with certainty how many follow-ups are ideal in the case of solar sales emails, the number of follow-ups generally increases where recipients are ‘out in the field’ or not tech-savvy since in these cases, there is a high chance that they missed out our initial outreaches.
In my experience, such prospects also tend to be more forgiving on persistent follow-ups, and the chances of being marked as spam are lower. So, you can crank up the number of follow-ups.
In each of the follow-up emails, it is important to reiterate two things:
- What do you offer (solar installations in your case)
- Call-to-action (booking a meeting, for instance)
Here is one variant of the follow-up email that you can use. Please note that it is recommended that you experiment with different variants of follow-ups in order to find what works best.
Dear [Recipient's Name], I hope this email finds you well. As the founder of the solar panel business I mentioned in my previous message, I wanted to take a moment to reiterate the benefits we offer to corporate businesses like yours. Our solar panels are specifically designed to help companies like [Recipient's Company] reduce energy costs significantly while embracing sustainable practices. By incorporating our solutions, you can make a positive impact on the environment and enhance your company's reputation as an eco-conscious leader. I'd love the opportunity to discuss how we can tailor our solar offerings to fit [Recipient's Company]'s specific energy needs and goals. A short call would be ideal to explore this further. Please let me know a convenient time for a quick meeting, and I'll make sure to accommodate your schedule. I look forward to the possibility of working together and contributing to the success of [Recipient's Company]. Thank you for considering our solar solutions. Best regards, Anand
I personally like to receive short emails. So, we also try to experiment with short follow-up emails that are under 150 words. Something like this:
Dear [Recipient's Name], As the founder of our solar panel business, I wanted to reiterate the significant benefits we offer to corporate businesses like yours. Our solar panels can help [Recipient's Company] substantially reduce energy costs while embracing sustainability. I'm eager to discuss how our solar solutions align perfectly with your energy needs and goals. Could we schedule a brief call at your earliest convenience? Looking forward to the opportunity to connect and explore the possibilities of collaborating with [Recipient's Company]. Best regards, Anand
Solar Sales Breakup Email
The last email in the follow-up series is called the breakup email where you explicitly tell them that you won’t be reaching them any further. It is important that you mention this since a lot of prospects are busy or not desperate. So, they don’t bother replying till you tell them that they won’t be hearing from you again.
Here is one variant of the breakup email that we use for our Solar clients.
Dear [Recipient's Name], I hope this email finds you well. It's with a mix of understanding and a touch of reluctance that I'm reaching out one last time. I've been eager to explore the potential of offering our solar panel solutions to [Recipient's Company]. However, I understand that priorities change, and perhaps our offerings may not align with your current needs. If there's still interest on your end, I'd be thrilled to arrange a brief meeting to discuss how our solar solutions can benefit your business. On the other hand, if our services don't match your requirements at the moment, a simple reply with that information would be deeply appreciated. My goal is to ensure clarity and respect your time. So, whether it's a meeting or a parting message, I'd love to hear back from you. Thank you for considering our solar panel business in the past, and I genuinely wish you all the best in your endeavors. Best regards, Anand
And here is an obligatory shorter version of the same breakup email:
Dear [Recipient's Name], I hope all is well. This will be my final outreach. I'm still interested in exploring how our solar panel solutions can benefit [Recipient's Company]. If there's mutual interest, I'd appreciate a brief meeting. However, if our services aren't the right fit, a simple reply would be kind, letting me know where things stand. Thank you for your time, and I wish you all the best. Best regards, Anand
