When it comes to sales outreach, there is no one magical way to do things. What works for one industry, or offering may not work for another. This is true for the social media marketing industry as well.
At LeadJoint, we have worked with hundreds of clients from across different countries and industries to help them generate qualified leads for their businesses through email outreach.
Since you are here to check out email templates for social media marketing outreach, let me tell you this from experience – there is no perfect template that will work for all prospects. Their industry, designation, culture, language proficiency, and tech-savviness all play a part in deciding the best sales email template.
When we do sales outreach at scale for our social media agency clients, we start off with dozens of different sales email templates, and then slowly narrow it down to one or two based on what gets us the best results.
In this blog post, we will go through several different formats of emails that you could experiment with while seeking leads for your social media marketing business.

Subject: Meeting request: B2B social media growth support

Social Media Marketing Sales Email Follow-Up Templates
Typically, we send between 3-4 follow-up emails to each recipient. While I can’t say with certainty how many follow-ups are ideal in the case of social media marketing sales emails, the number of follow-ups generally increases where recipients are ‘out in the field’ or not tech-savvy since in these cases, there is a high chance that they missed out our initial outreaches.
In my experience, such prospects also tend to be more forgiving on persistent follow-ups, and the chances of being marked as spam are lower. So, you can crank up the number of follow-ups.
In each of the follow-up emails, it is important to reiterate two things:
- What do you offer (social media marketing in your case)
- Call-to-action (booking a meeting, for instance)
Here is one variant of the follow-up email that you can use. Please note that it is recommended that you experiment with different variants of follow-ups in order to find what works best.
Subject: Following up on my earlier note
Hi {{First Name}},
Just wanted to follow up on my earlier message.
We help B2B companies build social media strategies that not only grow visibility but also generate qualified leads.
If this sounds relevant, I’d be happy to schedule a quick call.
Thanks,
Anand

I personally like to receive short emails. So, we also try to experiment with short follow-up emails that are under 150 words. Something like this:
Subject: Quick follow-up
Hi {{First Name}},
Circling back on my previous email.
We specialize in helping B2B companies turn social media into a reliable lead generation channel.
Would you be open to a short 15-minute call to explore this?
Regards,
Anand
Social Media Marketing Sales Breakup Email
The last email in the follow-up series is called the breakup email where you explicitly tell them that you won’t be reaching them any further. It is important that you mention this since a lot of prospects are busy or not desperate. So, they don’t bother replying till you tell them that they won’t be hearing from you again.
Here is one variant of the breakup email that we use for our social media marketing agency clients.
Subject: Closing the loop on this
Hi {{First Name}},
This will be my final follow-up.
I had reached out to explore whether our B2B social media marketing services could support your goals. If it’s not a priority right now, completely understandable.
If you’re open to a quick call, I’d be glad to connect. Otherwise, a simple “not interested” reply would really help me close this loop.
Thanks for your time,
Anand Srinivasan
And here is an obligatory shorter version of the same breakup email:
Subject: Last note from me
Hi {{First Name}},
I’ll make this my last message.
If improving social media-driven leads is something you’re considering, I’d love to set up a quick call. If not, a short reply either way would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again,
Anand Srinivasan
